With more and more people making purchases on their devices, Bay State needed a ticketing buy flow that would make it easy and intuitive for people to purchase tickets on their tablets and phones. So MMG set to work developing a device-friendly ticketing solution in time for the 2015 summer ferry season.

Going Native
It's important to use native widgets that people are used to when interacting with their phones and tablets. Keep it simple. For instance, invoke the numeric keypad for phone numbers instead of the overall keyboard.

Purchasing a ferry ticket from any device can now be done in six easy steps. The next goal is to make that two easy steps. Research and analytics show us that people will, and probably prefer, to purchase on their phones if it’s easy.
