The West Wall at mmg – Specimens

It’s with great excitement we announce a solo exhibition of selected works from Chicago photographer Mark Lind in our third gallery event for The West Wall at mmg.

Lind’s latest project, Specimens, is both an artistic and scientific exploration. Through chemical darkroom processes and physical examination, the work has evolved but has yet to be fully understood. Presented on both canvas and paper, the exhibit is designed to illustrate the investigative path and encourage viewers to participate in new lines of inquiry.

Lind’s work will be on display through this summer. Feel welcome to stop by during business hours Monday through Friday or schedule a private showing.

The West Wall is a gallery space inside of our studio that showcases selected works from a different artist every three months. We don’t take commission on any of the work presented, and we look for ways to help the exhibiting artists reach new audiences. Artists are welcome to schedule private showings during regular business hours. Plus, mmg hosts an opening that is promoted through emails, postcards and community newsletters at no cost to the artist.

We’re always interested in hearing from artists who would be interesting in showing at The West Wall and those who appreciate supporting the art community in Chicago. If you know of any artists who may be interested, feel free to drop us a line at contact@mediamadegreat.com.

Check out some of Mark’s photographs and shots from the opening night below. To see more, head over to our West Wall gallery page.
