The West Wall at mmg

We’re excited to announce that we’re featuring a solo exhibition of selected works from Chicago photographer Mark Lind in our second gallery event for The West Wall at mmg.

Lind’s blend of street, landscape, travel and studio photography offers a glimpse into a larger story unfolding to the viewer. His atmospheric and often dream-like images are a result of his extensive editing process. Lind is known for reworking photographic sets over time so that each image is a distant memory by the time it is rendered in print.

Lind’s work will be on display through Jan. 3rd. You’re welcome to stop by during business hours Monday through Friday or schedule a private showing.

The West Wall at mmg debuted this last spring with an inaugural exhibit from James Jankowiak. The West Wall is effectively a gallery space inside of our studio space that showcases selected works from a different artist every three months.

We don’t take commission on any of the work presented and we look for ways to help the exhibiting artists reach new audiences. Artists are welcome to schedule private showings during regular business hours. Plus, mmg hosts a first Friday opening that is promoted through emails, postcards and community newsletters at no cost to the artist.

We’re always interested in hearing from artists who would be interesting in showing at The West Wall and those who appreciate supporting the art community in Chicago. So feel free to drop us a line at contact@mediamadegreat.com.
